PATENTSCOPE
The following technology corresponds to a portable and adaptable monitoring system in respirators that allows to identify the breathing of a worker while he/she is working, without intervening in his/her work. This system is composed of a plurality of sensors that perform real-time measurements of the user's breathing as well as the remaining life of the industrial respirator filters. Advantageously, it can be used with any industrial standard respirator.
Uses
This respirator monitoring system can be placed inside any industrial standard respirator (half or full face) to measure respiratory variables of the user and/or environmental variables, which allows to obtain a respiratory profile of the user in real time during the working day, in addition, to calculate the remaining life of the respirator filters, through algorithms that use the pressure differential. The packaging of the system allows the monitoring system to be relocated to a new ventilator when the ventilator needs to be discarded.
Benefits
This monitoring system is non-invasive, in order to have the least impact on the industry's maintainability and operability tasks.
As industrial respirators are mandatory for these activities, there is no need for further implementations or interventions.
Through sensors in conjunction with artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, it is possible to determine: 1. The user's breathing. 2. Problems of use and face-ventilator fit of the industrial respirator. 3. Percentage of correct use of the industrial respirator; when respirator filters are found to be defective (worn or saturated filters due to clogging with filtered environmental agents) to calculate their remaining service life. 4. Filter efficiency of the industrial respirator concerning the environment in which it is being used. 5. Identify problems with fitting or installing filters for industrial respirators.
